RoboCup Japan Open 2012 will be held on March 30-31 (for Junior) and May 3-5 (for Major) for academic and educational purpose to foster activities of AI and robotics research and scientific education. It will be held as an independent event with a workshop of Japanese Society of Artificial Intelligent (JSAI). This is also the competition to select representative teams of RoboCupJunior Japan for RoboCup 2012.
