The RoboCup China Open 2011 is an international event to promote RoboCup research, education and competition in China, as well as exchange between RoboCuppers throughout the world. It will be held in Lanzhou, Gansu Province on August 23-25. The city was a major stop on the ancient "Silk Road" west of Xi'an and has been important for thousands of years because of the "Corridor West of the Yellow River", in which early Chinese civilization began.

The 10th RoboCup German Open 2011 took place at MESSE MAGDEBURG from March 31, 2011 to April 3, 2011. 56 research teams from 14 countries came to the open tournament in the RoboCup Major Leagues. Nearly 200 German RoboCupJunior teams participated in the RoboCupJunior qualification competition, 26 teams were nominated to take part in Istanbul. 1100 active RoboCuppers and 3200 visitors enjoyed four days of exiting competitions, a robot exhibition and robot courses for kids.
