RoboCup won a Special Award from The Prix Ars Electronica

The Prix Ars Electronica announced that a special award for The Prix Ars Electronica will be awarded to RoboCup. The Prix Ars Electronica is known to be one of the most prestigious media art prize, known as a strong promoter of a computer animation in its early days, today decided to award a RoboCup community. It was a decision by juries in interactive media category that this special award is created specifically for RoboCup. The awarding gala party will be held on September 4th, 2000 at Linz, Austria, and broadcast live throughout Europe.
